UNDP Vietnam is seeking for an experience NGOs/national research institutions/national firm to study on gender quota in public offices in Viet Nam: international good practices and policy implications (B-211102)
The assignment covers key objectives and specific outputs therein.
- To understand the importance and effect of gender quota for equal participation of women and men in public entities through international best practices and in Vietnam;
- To propose short-term and strategic solutions for possible application of gender quota to improve gender equality in politics and public offices in Vietnam.
The study should be able to answer following research questions:
- How is gender quota set up in Vietnam and other countries for equal representation of women and men in political organizations and state agencies?
- How does gender quota affect women and men’s representation in political organizations and state agencies in Vietnam?
- What are specific challenges regarding application of gender quota in Vietnam and ways to overcome?
