Are you a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse who is available to work with Samaritan’s Purse as we assist Boone Drug in staffing their Covid -19 vaccine clinics? If you have a current nursing license or have had a license in good standing in the past 5 years, we invite you to apply today!

The staff hired in these roles will prepare and administer vaccinations. Vaccine clinics may take place inside or outside, and will be implemented in a variety of weather conditions. Staff will be expected to follow all guidelines as provided by the supervising entity.

These are temporary, part time positions lasting up to 3 months, working 3 days per week from 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Days will vary.

Job Duties

• Maintain a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and be a consistent witness for Jesus Christ.
• Prepare vaccinations for injection according to instructions given per vaccine.
• Vaccinate adults using a variety of Intramuscular COVID vaccines, in accordance with the standing orders provided by the supervising entity.
• Monitor vaccinated patients for reactions to the vaccine. Responsible to determine if a patient is having a reaction and give a rapid does of epinephrine, as needed (via Epi-pen).
• Responsible to call 911 and communicate with Emergency Medical Services if a severe reaction occurs.
• Support with flow of patients, vaccinations, and general support to increase efficiency.

Qualifications & Experience

Licensed clinical from the following categories, required; Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP), Physician Assistant (PA), Medical Doctor (MD), Registered Pharmacist (RPh), or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD). Clinician must have an active license within the last five years.
