About the PES & PES Women:

PES Women is the women’s organisation of the PES and promotes gender equality and women’s rights both inside and outside the party. About the role: Communications Trainee with a focus on PES Women
We are looking for a creative person who, together with the rest of the communications team and the secretariat of PES Women, can contribute by generating ideas, creating visuals, and proposing design solutions for our communication around gender equality and a feminist Europe.
As a Communications Trainee, you will support the PES Communications unit to develop and implement information and awareness raising campaigns around gender equality, but also to support PES Women in daily tasks related to media monitoring, social media and other communications related activities.
Job description:
- Post social media content to the PES Women Facebook and Twitter accounts on a daily basis. Help establish PES Women Instagram account.
- Contribute to the drafting and creation of thematic campaigns together with PES Women and PES Communication staff.
- Help develop and implement PES Women campaigns and events online, including social media graphics, visuals, and charts.
- Liaise as necessary with PES Women members and their communications teams.
- Media monitoring of feminist actions, news and big campaigns.
- Report directly to PES Communications Director in close cooperation with PES Women Coordinator.
Your profile:
- Minimum college degree or other relevant qualification.
- Committed to the core values of the PES, identifying with a feminist perspective.
- Proficient knowledge of English. Knowledge of other EU languages would be an asset.
- Experience in social media management.
- Sufficient knowledge of image and video editing software.
- A flexible team-player who is highly motivated, pro-active and has excellent time management skills.
- A good command of Microsoft Office programs.
Practical information:
Location: PES Headquarters, 10-12 Rue Guimard, 1040 Brussels (currently remote-working). Duration: starting as soon as possible. Contract for a trainee lasting 6 months.
