This position as Procurement Services Assistant (Data & Reporting) is located in the Procurement Services Centre in UNICEF Supply Division.

Procurement Services (PS) enables partners to procure essential supplies and supply-related services through UNICEF, leveraging its global knowledge, purchasing capacity and logistics experience. This mechanism is integrated with UNICEF’s country programmes and is an important entry point for supporting governments in strengthening their national capacity until public and private supply systems can sustain this role effectively.

Procurement on behalf of PS partners reached $1.855 billion in 2019 on behalf of 105 countries. 

 

How Can You Make a Difference?

The Procurement Services Assistant provides reliable and timely data to support analysis and monitoring of the Procurement Services global supply function, including supply financing activities.  In addition, the incumbent will assist in the development, testing and implementation of business process improvements, e-business and Key Performance Indicators.  The position shall be focused on data management, reporting and monitoring. Key tasks include:

1.       Performs analysis and reporting of both logistics and financial data to support the monitoring of Procurement Services global supply function, as well as programme and financial management of supply financing activities.

2.       Run and analyze reports on Divisional Key Performance Indicators and Procurement Services Key Performance Indicators. Prepare KPI presentations and propose follow up actions.

3.       Develop and maintain tools and models for regular reports, data analysis, including tools for data-validation, end-to-end performance management, monitoring for both procurement and supply financing data ensuring data are validated and consistent.

4.       Provides weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual logistics and financial data and presentations for Centre reports, Advisory Bodies meetings, including monitoring reports for PS transactions within the Business Units and to external stakeholders.

5.       Assist with monitoring, analyses and follow-up on PS transactions, including supply financing activities.

6.       Supports on PS Forecast preparation and acts as focal point for PS forecast and ensures that forecasts are monitored regularly.

7.        Provide ad hoc centre analysis and reports of procurement and financial data for presentations, briefing notes and meetings

8.       Provide ad hoc reports and statistics of procurement and financial data for PS Stakeholders (in Supply Division, Regional Offices  and Country Offices).

9.       Act as a back-up and other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor

 

To qualify as a Champion for every Child you will have…

Required:

  • Completion of secondary degree.
  • Five years of work experience in public or private sector with proficiency in use of data processing systems
  • Systems competent with knowledge of SAP, advanced EXCEL, Power BI and ACCESS
  • Fluency in English.
  • Valid work permit and residency in Denmark at the time of submitting the application. Note that the selected candidate is responsible for obtaining any required extension of their residency permit as an extension cannot be dependent on an employment with UNICEF.

 

Desirable:

  • University course work or diploma in business, financial management or related field desirable.
  • Proficiency in additional UN Language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, Spanish).
