Overview

Samaritan’s Purse is seeking a Production Artist Associate to serve with Operation Christmas Child International. In this role, you will have the opportunity to create and update more than eighty language print files for OCC discipleship and training purposes.  This will position will focus mainly on placing translated narratives into Adobe print files to create new language editions. As the Associate Production Artist, you will be responsible for maintaining and updating the material inventory system, including researching Bible Society partners and languages available for future implementation.  Join the team and use your gifts and talents for the Kingdom!

A day in the life of a Production Artist Associate:

At Samaritan’s Purse, the Gospel really is the center of all we do!  We start each day with a time of devotions and spend time praying for each other, our staff and volunteers who serve around the globe. 

In the role of Production Artist Associate, you will have the opportunity to:

• Maintain your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Him
• Create new language editions of discipleship and training materials, master Adobe files through desktop publishing and copy-fitting translated text
• Support national and international event preparation of translation, typesetting, and printing of booklets and signage
• Coordinate and maintain a material inventory system for eighty languages in up to five different print pieces in the Operation Christmas Child warehouse, facilitating distribution to Regional Directors and Managers
• Maintain quality control of all print pieces in conjunction with project managers, ensuring translation, layering, text placement, proofing and copyright statements are updated and accurate throughout materials
• Support the language and material education of field teams through compilation of data, research, Info Graphic development, and presentation of findings
• All other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Demonstrated proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically InDesign
• Strong technical skills and attention to detail
• Ability to organize and prioritize effectively
• Team player; able to work within a diverse environment and respond well to instruction
• Willing to learn and attempt new solutions
