Program Coordinator, Afghan Resettlement
Twelve (12) positions available
Samaritan’s Purse is seeking individuals to serve as our Program Coordinators, based at our International Headquarters in Boone, North Carolina. The Program Coordinator will work to support all aspects of the Afghan Resettlement Program, including relationships with churches and potential sponsors, the selection and vetting of Church Sponsors and potential beneficiaries, and the efforts to support resettlement by sponsor churches of Afghans into communities in the United Sates.

In the role of a Program Coordinator, you will have the opportunity to:
- Maintains a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ.
- Actively supports the Church Relations Coordinator in seeking new and productive partnerships with Churches to create new sponsorship opportunities for Afghan evacuees seeking to resettle in the USA.
- Strives to ensure a high quality of care is provided to beneficiaries through all partnerships.
- Maintains a strong working knowledge of all matters related to humanitarian parole and asylum.
- Works closely with Church Sponsors to ensure a high level of physical and psycho-social care is provided to all beneficiaries in the Afghan resettlement program.
- Works to support the selection and vetting of sponsors and potential beneficiaries, including providing support for application preparation and completion.
- Provides training to Church Sponsors on best practices and required standards of care using appropriate ministry curriculum and how to navigate unique or challenging resettlement issues as needed.
As a Program Coordinator, we ask that you bring:
- A consistent witness for Jesus Christ, as well as able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Bachelor’s degree with major in Business Administration, International Business, Social Work, Education, or other related field.
- Six months to two (2) years of related experience.
- Experience working with refugees of war or conflict, either internationally or domestically is preferred.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to solve problems quickly and with initiative.
- High level of organizational and administrative skills.
- Flexible and adaptable, able to work with a diverse team in a pressured environment.

Type (Full-Time/Part-Time/Associate): Full-Time, 12-month contract
Travel: Limited domestic travel could be requested, less than 5-10% of the year.
