Relief International (RI) is a leading non-profit organisation working across 16 countries to relieve poverty, ensure the well-being, and advance dignity. We specialise in fragile settings, responding to natural disasters, humanitarian crises, and chronic poverty. This role’s primary focus is Middle East, where we operate in the following countries; Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Turkey and Yemen.
The Program Development team is dedicated to building high impact programming by raising income from institutional donors (like the USAID, DfID, EC, GAC and the UN). The Programme Development team is based across our global support office in Washington and London and supports Country Offices by helping them to design high-quality programmes, and by raising funds from institutional donors needed to implement them. You will thrive in an entrepreneurial senior team dedicated to building high-impact programming
The Program Development Manager – Middle East is critical in bringing significant impact and opportunity of funding to our country programme. Reporting to the Senior Programme Development Director, your role will be supporting country teams and will be key in leading in donor liaison and engagement and capture management. A large proportion of your time will be supporting country teams in proposal development.
To be successful in this role, your approach will be entrepreneurial and will bring proven experience in building high impact programming though programme design and proposal development. Bringing a strong network of contractor, donor relationships and understanding of donor tends. Your excellent written and verbal communication skills will be critical to this role.
*Travel
This role is expected to travel (at least 40%) to field sites as well as other RI countries as needed once the organization determines it will be safe to begin regular travel.
Due to COVID 19, RI policy currently limits international travel and this role is expected to be initially based remotely from home. The organisation is undertaking regular reviews and risk assessments to review travel restrictions on a global and local level.
