The Humanity Hub is looking for an energetic and highly motivated Programme and Event Officer who can help further develop Humanity Hub’s programming into relevant and sustainable programmes. You are the ideal candidate if you have experience developing impactful events and programmes in the purpose led or social innovation world. We are looking for an individual with strong organisation and leadership skills and the ability to approach work with creativity, passion, and determination to serve our community to their best interests for maximum impact. You will:
- Identify opportunities and develop a new event formats and programmes
- Implement and manage the production and practical organisation of programmes and events
- Participate in the planning and delivery of programmes, including: event/workshop planning and organisation, mobilization of programme contributors, stakeholder management, capturing impactful stories, reporting/evaluation
- Develop and implement community-led programming in close collaboration with the community development team
- Work closely with the communications team to ensure that all projects and programmes are communicated effectively to all relevant stakeholders
- Continuously improve the Hub’s knowledge management for all aspects related to events and programmes (eg. people, content, budgets, templates)
- Identify and apply for sources of funding
- Collaborate with the rest of the team to identify and execute on opportunities for growth of programming and community from a strategic and funding perspective
- Work closely with and support the rest of the team in other areas when needed
- Help community members make valuable connections
What you bring:
- You have a university degree and 2-3 years of work experience in a similar role
- Experience working in programme, project, or event management
- You are comfortable taking the lead on projects and working independently
- You bring an entrepreneurial and creative mindset to help grow the organisation
- You have a keen sense for what is going on in our sector and society
- Able to capture concepts and proposals convincingly in writing
- You are an organizational talent and can work quickly in a growing and fast-paced environment
- A curious, friendly personality with a genuine interest in our community
- Excellent communication skills and (near) native proficiency in both Dutch and English
- A flexible, can-do attitude with good problem-solving skills ready to help where needed
- High digital literacy, able to use various online platforms and digital tools
- Preferably living in (the region of) The Hague
Ideally, you also bring:
- Work experience within the peace, justice, humanitarian, impact sectors
- Experience in a start-up environment and with developing concepts and relevant business processes
- Experience in a multi-stakeholder environment across private and public sectors
- Experience writing successful funding applications
What we offer:
- Remuneration will be between 2100 – 2800 EUR gross (full-time) depending on experience
- 8% vacation pay and 25 holidays (based on full time)
- 32 to 40 working hours per week
- 6 months contract with a view to be extended in the future (subject to funding)
