EASPD Internship Opportunity: Project Assistant
EASPD is currently looking for a for a junior profile willing to enrich her/his resume with an exciting working experience in EASPD’s headquarters, in Brussels. The person will work directly with and under the supervision of EASPD’s Project Development Manager and in close cooperation with other members of the Project Development team. The work would involve a broad variety of topics, including:
- Monitoring and analysis of EU funding programmes and calls for proposals
- Proposals development
- Project Cycle Management
- Events & Communications
Expected tasks:
- Proposals development: scanning of relevant EU call for proposals, project outlining, consortia building, needs analysis, administrative and submission formalities
- Project Management: project planning, dissemination & exploitation strategies and implementation of dissemination activities (project branding, PR materials, news items, web content management, research & analysis)
- Event management: planning, logistics & implementation
- External communications: production of articles and new items for website and newsletters

ProfileQualifications
- University degree (Minimum 3 years of higher education) in Management, Journalism, Information & Communication Technologies, Political sciences, European studies, Law or similar degree.
- Valid visa to work in Belgium
Skills required
- A basic understanding about the Project Cycle Management
- A basic understanding of the European Union and its functioning
- Excellent writing skills in English (other languages are an asset)
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong interest in European social and human rights policies
Additional skills
- Ability to work autonomously and in a team context
- Sense of initiative and be pro-active
- Ability to work under pressure and respect deadlines
- Strong organisational and administrative skills
- Good interpersonal skills
- Experience with monitoring of EU funding programmes & development of project proposals highly desirable
Terms of the contract
- Minimum 35 hours / week and based in Brussels (working also remotely due to COVID-19 recommendations in place).
- Remuneration of only 100€ +, local transport costs covered.
- Minimum 6 months internship.
- The desired starting date is 17th May 2021.
