Function prerequisite:

The position requires a person with experience from mid to senior-level coordination and planning at all levels of governance as well as proven experience of assessments, reporting, and analysis.

The successful Project Coordinator should demonstrate the ability to show excellent interpersonal and communication skills, lead and communicate effectively with team members (international and national personnel) of varied work styles, follow procedures, and meet deadlines. Proven ability to learn quickly, take initiative, and be accountable for results, multi-tasks, prioritizing, and simultaneous attention to detail. Work high professional standard of work ethics, as well as the willingness and ability to enforce compliance with NPA and donor policies. Show proactive, creative, and problem-solver.

 

General Responsibilities:

  • Work within the framework of NPA’s core values.
  • Act as an ambassador for NPA, through professionalism and good conduct.
  • Adhere to all NPA policies, regulations and procedures.
  • Maintain and care for all equipment issued by NPA and for any loss or damage, you will be liable for repair or replacement.
  • Follow all verbal and/or written instructions, unless in direct violation of safety and duty of care.
  • Ensure a safe workplace and protect property and equipment from damage.
  • Contribute to methodology development.
  • Any other task or duty as assigned by the Project Manager.

Principle Responsibilities:

  • Report directly to the Project Manager (PjM)
  • Responsible for assisting the PjM and Senior Technical Field Managers (STFM) for all Non-technical Survey (NTS) activities within the project.
  • Continuous liaison with UNMAS
  • Assist to STFM in coordinating all NTS activities.
  • Collecting and producing of weekly and monthly progress reports for NPA activities within the project.
  • Submission of weekly and monthly progress reports to UNMAS
  • Analysis of data related to the project activities
  • Daily coordination and communication with UNMAS PoC
  • Assisting the PjM on internal and external logistical issues, in the management and deployment of the NTS field teams
  • Assisting the PjM to monitor the budget monthly and to analyse the grant financial management status.
  • Support the PjM with coordination and liaison with the national and international stakeholders
  • Traveling and visiting field activities NTS working across Anbar governorate.
  • Any other reasonable task, conducive to the safe and efficient running of the program, as detailed by the PjM.

Required qualifications:

  • Two years’ experience within the humanitarian sector.
  • Experience in project management: project planning, implementation, follow up and proven analytical skills is essential.
  • Practical experience of mainstreaming gender in development, advocacy or humanitarian work.
  • Practical experience in Monitoring and Evaluation
  • Working knowledge of Iraq, understanding of the social, political, and economic context.
  • Sound understanding of project cycle management in international development
  • Previous experience in insecure environments, and able to work effectively under, & adapt to, difficult conditions.
  • Written & verbal proficiency in English and Arabic are required.
  • Very good computer skills essential.
  • Experience in using GIS an advantage.
  • Previous working relations with the national authorities and military forces are an advantage.
  • Full driving license.

 

 

Education:

Must have:

  • Bachelor degree in the relevant qualification

  • Systematic and organized in approach, with the ability to work on own initiative including accuracy, consistency, attention to detail, tenacity, and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work calmly under pressure with limited supervision.
  • Ability to adapt to difficult and complex conditions and work in remote areas.
  • Excellent health.
