Job Summary/General Purpose of Job
This position is responsible for the implementation of innovation and technology projects to meet the strategic goals of the Center for Innovation, and the ABA. This may include liaising with internal and external entities to provide updates on legal innovations and regulatory changes. Must understand and follow established project methodology and can document/analyze processes and procedures.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities (listed in order of importance and/or time spent)
Leads and/or collaborates in the development of law-related innovation projects and models, both technology based and other initiatives.
Develops and manages online strategies including website, online communities, social media presence and online publications.
Develops, updates, and maintains a clearinghouse of law-related innovations.
Assists in drafting and editing reports on legal innovation topics.
Provides staff support for member project teams, as assigned.
Serves as a resource person for both internal and external audiences regarding law related innovations.
Performs other related duties as required.
Required Education, Qualifications, Experience
Possession of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
Possession of a JD and active bar admission in at least one jurisdiction.
At least two years’ experience in the development and implementation of technology-based systems, solutions, and projects.
Experience in website development, use of social media marketing, and other online software.
Preferred Education, Qualifications, Experience
Previous experience in online based projects and programs.
Previous experience in data collection and analysis.
Previous experience independently taking projects from development to implementation.
