Project Specialist, P4G

Job Summary:

In this role supporting the Partnering for Green Growth and the Global Goals (P4G) platform, you will support project operations for the P4G initiative. You will support and help coordinate operations in the areas of financial management, grants and contracts management, project administration, and direct support to the Global Director.

Your additional activities include event coordination and travel planning. This is an exciting opportunity to support an international team and play a vital role in contributing to the P4G mission.

This position is remote due to Covid-19, but you will be based in Washington, DC once restrictions have lifted.

Job Responsibilities:

Financial Management (35%)

  • Support project financial management, including monitoring monthly expenses and making monthly updates in budgeting software
  • Manage expenses for P4G management, prepare and submit expense reports, and track expenses within P4G budgets
  • Work closely with the P4G Operations Manager to generate reports from the institute’s financial system as required by funder agreements
  • Support systems and approaches to manage the Center’s finances

 Grants and Contracts Management (20%)

  • Prepare and maintain sub-agreements with partners and contractors
  • Process payments for vendors, consultants, and partners
  • Work closely with the P4G Operations Manager to help staff and external partners understand and meet contract requirements

Global Director Support (20%)

  • Provide administrative support to Global Director including scheduling and agenda-setting, emailing, preparing timesheets, and general professional assistance
  • Assist Global Director preparing for potential international trips and speaking engagements, including managing travel logistics and scheduling, and coordinating amongst the team for event input

Administration and Operations (25%)

  • Coordinate with P4G staff and HR on recruitment of new personnel and support onboarding of new staff and consultants
  • Provide support coordinating internal and external events, workshops, and conferences as needed
  • Provide support on activities related to workspace allocation, timesheet guidance, expense reporting, and cash advance requests
  • Review and make recommendations on internal systems to support and improve efficiencies within the P4G team

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant full-time work experience required
  • Experience with database management (such as Salesforce) desirable
  • Ability to keep up in extremely fast past environment and seamlessly manage many competing priorities and tight deadlines
  • Advanced knowledge of Outlook and entire Microsoft suite
  • Strong organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience coordinating international travel including: booking multi-stop flights, obtaining international visas, coordinating meetings and schedules across various time zones
  • Demonstrated interest in Public Private Partnerships, international development, sustainable business, or social enterprise models a plus
  • Experience with or demonstrated aptitude for financial management preferred
  • US work authorization is required for this position

Potential Salary:

$47,000 – $60,700 if based in United States. Salary is commensurate with experience and other compensable factors.
