His/her main responsibility is to provide administrative and logistical support to all team members by taking part in the realization of commercial activities of promotion and prospecting in immigration, by participating in the organization of projects, by carrying out administrative follow-ups, by initiating and / or carrying out various research, by collecting, producing and disseminating information, by interacting with partners and target customers and by participating in Immigration Sector meetings. The selected candidate works in a mainly French-speaking work environment. Essential qualifications: Candidates will initially be screened against the Essential Qualifications relating to education, experience and language. Education Bachelor’s degree or post-secondary degree from a recognized university in a discipline related to the job requirements, including, but not limited to: administration, communications, economics, business and international relations. Demonstrated equivalency through a combination of education, training and/or experience for at least four years would be acceptable. Language Fluency in French (oral and written); Fluency in Portuguese (oral and written); Working knowledge of English (oral and written). Experience Minimum two years of recent and direct experience in a program governed by a regulatory framework or in business development (commerce, education, event management, immigration, marketing, government relations, human resources, ideally in an international environment). Rated Requirements The Rated Requirements relating to knowledge, abilities and competencies will also be assessed. Methods of assessment may include, but are not limited to, a written examination, an oral interview, practical tests, presentations and/or psychometric assessment. Knowledge Socio-economic profiles of Quebec and Canada, particularly in terms of immigration, the labor market and education; Quebec and Canadian immigration policies; Administrative practices inherent in a public service; Trends and recent developments in migratory flows in Quebec, Canada and the Latin American region, especially in Brazil. Abilities/Competencies Plan and organize workflows, define and manage priorities with minimal supervision; Work effectively with short deadlines and sometimes under pressure; Obtain, prepare and hold meetings with partners; Build and maintain a network of contacts in Brazil; Analyze information, provide advice and update relevant briefing documents; Support team members by providing prompt responses to inquiries; Support team members in planning and hosting events; Use social media tools for promotional purposes or to develop new business opportunities; Use of technological tools and databases; Ability to interact with others (interpersonal, intercultural and communication skills); Ability to practice diplomacy and respectful and courteous behavior with the various interlocutors encountered; Ability to develop team spirit and dynamic and sustainable collaborations. Asset Qualifications: Preference may be given to candidates who meet the Asset Qualifications. Where applicable, candidates must clearly demonstrate how they meet any asset qualifications in their cover letter and CV: • Ability to communicate effectively (intermediate level oral and written) in Spanish; • Ability to translate and interpret, on certain occasions, from Portuguese to French and / or English and vice versa; • At least one year of work experience in a general office environment; • Experience using a computer, word processing and spreadsheet software, email and other web applications; • Experience in developing and managing a network of partners and customer relations; • Experience in acquiring knowledge in targeted markets through a business model, identifying trends and assisting clients; • Experience in researching and synthesizing information from various sources to write detailed reports and prepare oral presentations; • Experience in using social media tools for promotional purposes or to generate new business opportunities. Organizational Needs: – Operational Requirements: Evening and weekend work and overtime on short notice may have to be performed and ability to travel within or outside the country may be required.
