Main Purpose of the Job
The Data Analyst is expected to oversee/lead quantitative and qualitative data analysis and interpretation (including data triangulation) using specialized software’s for data analysis. The incumbent with strong command on SPSS, MAXQDA and other data analysis software will be preferred.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities

Ability to use as many of the following tools as possible for Qualitative and Quantitative Analysis {STATA, SPSS, R, ECONO, NVivo, MaxQDA and others};

Possess an understanding of sampling approaches (such as Simple random, Systematic, Stratified, Clustered, Convenience, Quota, Judgement (or Purposive), Snowball sampling);

Support Project delivery teams in Tools Development;

Support Project delivery teams in the development of Research Design, Data Collection Tools and Data Analysis;

Understanding of tabulation plans, and relevant data entry modules/sheets including guidelines for field application (including overseeing the pre-testing and finalization);

Ability to develop and deliver training of field teams on data collection, editing, cleaning, entry and processing, including guidance on ethical and quality assurance;

Able to contribute to and manage data collection exercises through real time data collection applications/devices e.g., android or device-based data collection and perform real time quality checks to ensure compliance and quality;

Oversee and lead the data management/ database management for the data collected in field missions;

Oversee/lead quantitative and quantitative data analysis and interpretation (including data triangulation) using specialized software’s for data analysis e.g., STATA, SPSS, R, ECONO, Business Intelligence (BI), NVivo etc.;

Extend support to the relevant project teams in data analysis, interpretation and reporting and addressing clients’ feedback on data analysis and interpretation (during report finalization);
Essential Requirements
· At least Masters’ degree preferably in Social Sciences (or any other relevant field) from a reputable and recognized university.
· Over 5 years of experience in research design development and data analysis (including quantitative and qualitative data analysis) preferably with consulting entities and development contractors, particularly UNICEF
· Proficiency with analytical tools (especially SPSS and MAXQDA) and knowledge of quantitative and qualitative data analysis methodology, strong communication skills is mandatory
· Fluency in written and verbal English required.
· High level of Proficiency with Computer Software (MS Word, Excel, Power Point, other relevant software)
· Ability to work independently and as a part of diverse teams
