A day in the life of a Readiness Coordinator, International Health Unit

At Samaritan’s Purse, the Gospel really is the center of all we do!  We start each day with a time of devotions and prayer.  We hear from members of our staff, both from IHQ and our global offices, as well a special guest speakers who encourage us in God’s word.  We then join together to prayer for one another, as well as praying for staff and volunteers who serve around the globe.  We get paid to start each day this way! 

The Job 

• Maintain a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ.
• Responsible for the creatation all new item cards and discontinuing item cards no longer used.
• Responsible for maintaining the Bill of Materials Management process:
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures on Emergency Medical Response Bill of Material management.
  • Update Serenic and Bridge Tool systems with relevant changes to modules, pallets, and kits.
  • Keep a Change Log up to date and communicated to all relevant parties.
• Support the development of new inventory and manufacturing systems.
• Execute the daily update of the Emergency Medical Response Bridge Tool through the transfer of Serenic inventory data.
• Fill out Purchase Requests for all durable Emergency Medical Response inventory. Track arrival of items to ensure timely manufacturing.
• Conduct ongoing reviews of inventory items to ensure all items have the proper item cards and are assigned appropriate kit and modules.
• Support readiness report preparation for Senior Management Team
• Provide back-up support to those team members deployed on Incident Management Teams and Disaster Assistance Response Teams including analysis of consumable expiration date management database, medical equipment preventative maintenance reporting, module assembly orders.
• Serve on Incident Management Team as needed.

Qualifications & Experience

• Maintain a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; and one to three year’s related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Twelve credit hours of college-level Biblical studies strongly preferred.
• General knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, thorough knowledge of Microsoft Access preferred.
• Strong internal and external customer service focus
• Strong attention to detail
• Expereince with data management and analysis strongly preferred
