Save the Children International is looking for a senior professional to join the organization to serve as SUPPLY CHAIN OFFICER.
The position is planned to be based in Panamá, Colombia, El Salvador, Guatemala, Nicaragua, or Peru.
As part of the Regional Operations team, you will process all procurement requests and related tasks on a timely manner. You will be the main link between the Country Offices (COs) and Save the Children International supply chain team, with the primary responsibility to ensure the effective communication and efficient flow of program supplies from regional / global markets to program sites in COs.
In order to be successful, you should bring/have:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Industrial engineering, or related field
- Specialization or experience in all technical areas of logistics / supply chain operations including procurement, transport, distribution, warehousing, and stock management.
- Experience in humanitarian logistics / supply chain management.
- Fluency Spanish is essential.
- Strong English communication skills – written and spoken.
- Proficient in the use of Ms Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Remote support to supply chain operations across multiple field offices.
- Ability to build effective working relationships quickly with a wide range of people, both internally and externally
- Excellent planning, management, and coordination skills, with the ability to organise a substantial workload comprised of complex, diverse tasks and responsibilities.
