In March 1972, the Government of Botswana published a report entitled “Rural Development Botswana” (GoB, 1972). The report outlined Government’s basic socio-economic principles to guide the formulation of rural development programmes and projects. In addition, it clearly spelt out schemes and administrative machinery considered necessary to implement the Government’s rural development policies.
The main purpose of the assignment is to review the 2002 Revised National Policy for Rural Development and develop a revised comprehensive National Policy for Rural Development.
