Summary
Seeking a Research Technician for mouse cranial window and in vivo imaging.
Job Purpose
Performs the routine elements of research work that requires the use of skills, technical and academic knowledge to follow established procedures and record results.
Job Duties
- Conducts research experiments, including multi-photon imaging.
- Performs technical laboratory procedures:
- Rodent surgeries with aseptic technique.
- Autoclaving surgical instruments.
- Collects and analyzes data and maintains records.
- Enters data into the research database.
- Cleans equipment such as surgical equipment, microscope parts, and cleans the surgical area. •
- Assists with preparing laboratory reports, progress reports for grants, etc.
- Operates laboratory equipment.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in a Basic Science or related field. Two years of related experience may substitute for degree requirement.
- One year of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with mouse surgeries, microscopy, viral injections, basic programming skills, electrophysiology, multi-photon imaging or histology, and RNA-Sequencing.
