As a non-governmental social development organisation, we support children without parental care and families in difficult living conditions through services in care, education, health and emergency relief, and we advocate for the rights of children and young people, in alliance with a great diversity of partners. We work in 135 countries and territories, reaching over one million children, young people, families and caregivers each year. To support us with this important responsibility we are now looking for committed Result Based Management Coordinator.

Tasks and Responsibilities

The Result Based Management Coordinator supports the implementation of RBM within the region. S/He takes a leading role in steering and the operational roll out of Results Based Management (RBM) in Member Associations including alignment of existing programme processes and RBM processes. S/he leads the documentation of learnings, develop quality management measures of RBM implementation, and animate RBM community of practice within the region. The incumbent plays a key role in capacity building of IOR WCNA co-workers and ensures the involvement of all departments in RBM implementation.

The Result Based Management Coordinator is responsible for:

· Steer and monitor RBM implementation within the region in collaboration with the regional RBM Advisor

· Support use of results for strategic planning and decision-making of regional management and other relevant GSC co-workers

· Ensure that implementation of RBM is discussed at relevant regional and national meetings

· Ensure the quality of RBM implementation, processes and associated tools through periodic reviews and comments from IOR teams

· Document learnings on RBM implementation

· Participate in the development of tools, systems and structures to support development of RBM systems and the ongoing monitoring and evaluation of programme results

· Provide advice to national associations on resource allocation and prioritization of results-based management processes in terms of priority

· Ensure alignment with other internal processes, especially with IPD, to increase synergies

· Ensure awareness and availability of adequate resources for RBM implementation in mid-term plans and annual plans

· Develop briefings for RMT about RBM implementation process in the region and ensure the same process at the national level

· Act as point of contact for the region

· Coordinate involvement of and maintain close links to Children’s Villages International Reps and relevant functions

· Provide capacity building on Results Based Management to national associations and IOR co-workers and other relevant key staff members

· Advocate for Results Based Management approach in programmes; participate in awareness raising and knowledge sharing such as: peer-to-peer exchanges, contribute to the RBM blog, share lessons learned with the IO RBM team.

Requirements

· A degree or postgraduate qualification in a relevant subject area, e.g. development studies, community development, public policy & planning, social sciences, etc.

· At least 5 years’ work experience in the community development field.

· Proven leadership and people management skills, with at least 3-5 years’ management experience.

· Expertise in implementing M & E Systems.

· Positive and professional approach. Ability to work independently, self-organise, use initiative, fulfil commitments and meet deadlines.

· Good written and verbal communication skills

· Well-developed facilitation, group leadership and presentation skills.

· Ability to develop guidelines and tools, and oversee their implementation.

· Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).

· Able and willing to travel within the region and sometimes continentally or internationally.

· A team player who is culturally astute, respectful and tolerant.

· Experience in conducting project evaluations and related methodology (quantitative and qualitative).

· Fluency in English and French (spoken and written) is necessary
