About the Candidates
We are looking for an individual with an interest in RUSI Europe’s work in relation to the Global Illicit Flows Programme. The intern will support RUSI Europe with implementing the Communications and Visibility Strategy of the Monitoring and Support of the Global Illicit Flows Programme (MASIF). This is an excellent opportunity for individuals wishing to gain experience at a leading think tank. The intern will work together closely with the MASIF Team Leader and Project Manager in delivering administrative and technical support to the programme. The Communications and Visibility Strategy for MASIF has at its core the aim to maintain and enhance the profile of the EU as an essential strategic partner in the fight against illicit trafficking and transnational organised crime, using the GIFP as an overarching programme for a number of individual sub-projects.
Personal and professional skills
The post requires someone who:
- has obtained or is working towards a postgraduate degree in law, political sciences, social sciences, or any other discipline related to organised crime;
- Is knowledgeable in using WordPress, social media channels, producing podcasts and organising webinars;
- is proficient in oral and written English and French has a working knowledge of Spanish.
- has strong writing, reporting and communication skills;
- is computer literate (MS Office at a minimum);
- has the right to live and work in Belgium.
Previous experience of working with the EU will be an asset.
About the Internship
This is a full-time position, for 6 months from July 2021 at RUSI’s offices in Brussels, Belgium.
