Sanitation Workers Project Manager (London or Global Offices)

Join WaterAid as Sanitation Workers Project Manager to help further the cause of sanitation workers, by providing leaderships and guidance to the BMGF-funded sanitation workers project, in partnerships with World Bank, ILO, WHO and SNV.

The role of the Sanitation Workers Project Manager will be pivotal to delivering the next phase of the coalition’s work.

The post is required until approximately 28 Feb 2023 – to be recruited as a fixed-term contract of around 2 years and 2 months (subject to start date).

The location of this post is flexible to countries where WaterAid has an established office. A consideration will be that this post will spend a significant amount of time working with colleague s and partners across continents.

When post-Covid practices are resumed, the post holder will be expected to spend substantial periods of time in their WaterAid office. Until then, they will be expected to work from home.

The post is part-time, 28 hours per week (4 days)

Job Description
This post holder will lead and coordinate the successful implementation of the BMGF project on sanitation workers, having day-to-day responsibility for the smooth and effective running of the project. Effective project leadership along with project planning, budget control, tracking and reporting, risk and issue analysis and quality assurance will be key to delivery in this role. The post holder will work with internal and external stakeholders.

You will have a track record of successful project management, excellent interpersonal skills and experience in working collaboratively at an international level.

Annual UK salary: £29,200-£30,800 working 4 days pw – based on full-time equivalent salary of £36,500-£38,500 (subject to experience).

Salaries for different countries will vary in line with WaterAid’s country salary scales.

This is an office-based post in a country where WaterAid has a presence (www. search WaterAid Where we work). In particular, we are encouraging people with extensive experience of working in the Global South to apply. This post will have to work closely with colleagues and partners across continents, so being able to work roughly in GMT time zone office hours will be a consideration when choosing applicants.

WaterAid is currently located at Canary Wharf, London and this will be your location and contract base. Due to current restrictions on office capacity the majority of our staff are working from home.
