In this role, you will partner with our regional Marketing teams — focusing initially on India and Western Europe — to define localized strategies that take into account trends in each market and differences in learner needs and expectations. By helping to guide strategy, explore differences through behavioral data, and establish measurement plans for new initiatives, you will help the team craft regionally competent and globally scalable marketing plans and practices and pave the way for further investment in new markets around the world.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze site behavior and channel response data to surface insights and strategic recommendations to better customize marketing efforts to new regions.
- Work with marketers to define, execute, and analyze experiments that increase our understanding of how best to reach new and existing learners in priority regions.
- Assist marketing and finance teams in defining goal metrics and setting targets for regional marketing initiatives and reporting progress against those goals back to leadership.
- Collaborate with local corporate strategy, user research, and product marketing team members to identify and address strategic questions for priority regions.
- Partner with data engineering and operations teams to ensure that business stakeholders have easy access to and training to accurate interpret key metrics that inform their day-to-day work.
Basic Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience using data to advise product, business, or services teams
- 2+ years of experience applying statistical inference techniques to business questions
Preferred Qualifications:
- Background in applied math, computer science, statistics, or a related technical fieldExcellent business intuition, cross-functional communication, and project management
- Strong applied statistics and data visualization skills
- Proficient with at least one scripting language (e.g. Python)
- Proficient with at least one statistical software package (e.g. R, NumPy/SciPy/Pandas)
- Proficient with relational databases and SQL
