General Function:
Under the overall supervision of the Country Director/Representative, the Sr. HR Officer is responsible for recruitment, onboarding, employee development, compensation, benefits, off-boarding processes, maintenance of staff records and systems, and lead HR initiatives as needed. Also, Sr. HR Officer promotes a positive work environment founded on Christian values and Code of Ethics and Conduct of World Concern Haiti.
Responsibilities:**

Review employment and working conditions to ensure compliance with local labor laws while develop and maintain strong relationships with government bodies and NGOs

Interpret, explain, and implement employees’ policies rules and procedures and make sure they are followed

Conduct recruitment by ensuring that Job Descriptions are current and updated, advertise job opening, screen job applicants, communicate with job candidates, schedule, facilitate, and participate in interviews

Perform background checks and contact potential candidates’ references

Prepare and send out rejection emails, emails of job offer and employment contracts for new employees, and update existing employment contracts as needed

Create and implement effective onboarding program and ensure that employees fill out all the necessary paperwork for benefits enrollment

Coordinate onboarding evaluation process to make necessary improvements to the program

Conduct training needs analysis for employees to determine training needs

Work with managers to determine trainings that are suitable for their subordinates and organize training sessions and activities for employees

Assist in performance management process

Update compensation information and respond to compensation questions and explain benefits plans and resources

Lead employee termination process including conduct exit interview

Plan, organize and coordinate employee morale events such as team building

Provide support and resources on conflict resolution or other employees’ issues that may arise to promote a positive work environment.

Create, update, and maintain all employees’ records in electronic and physical files
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Experience
- Spiritually mature follower of Jesus Christ
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business administration or related field
- At least 3 years’ experience in Human Resources and 1 year in supervising staff
- Familiarity and experience with Local Labor Laws
- Excellent interpersonal skills and verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills
- Willingness and availability to travel, and perform other duties as needed
- Excellent Microsoft Office computer skills (Word, excel, power point and outlook)
- Fluency in written and spoken, French, Creole, and English
