About the position

The Senior Legal Counsel is a strategic position within EUROCHAMBRES, as he/she will be responsible, under the supervision of the CEO, for all legal issues relating to:

• the day to day management of EUROCHAMBRES;
• contracts signed with the European Institutions or third parties.

In addition, the Senior Legal Counsel will be the interface between EUROCHAMBRES team and the CEO regarding HR issues (recruitment, training, enhancing workplace culture).

Requirements

• Masters of Law degree;
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience;
• Very good communication skills both written and spoken in English and French;
• Ability to integrate rapidly in an international team;
• Human relations skills;
• Proven negotiating and organisational skills;
• Capacity to face and resolve conflicts, both internally and with third parties;
• Sense of responsibility, flexibility and capacity to work under pressure.

Assets

• Good knowledge of the EU institutions;
• Experience with the EU institutions tender procedures;
• Working experience in an ASBL or AISBL in Belgium;
• Knowledge of Belgian labour laws.
