Position Description:
SI is seeking a Senior Program Assistant to support projects in the Impact Evaluation (IE) Division. The Senior Program Assistant reports to Program Managers on individual projects and a Senior Program Manager in the IE Division as their direct supervisor. This is a full-time, HQ-based position.
Responsibilities:
Administrative:

Provide general administrative support to project teams including drafting contracts, processing invoices, reconciling expenditures, and arranging travel for team members.

Schedule meetings and take notes during presentations and/or trainings.

Format and copy edit documents and reports.

Support budget monitoring and client financial reporting in collaboration with finance department and project teams.
Technical:
In addition to the administrative responsibilities above, Senior Program Assistants in the IE Division may contribute to a variety of technical tasks based on their interest and the needs of their projects. Though previous experience with these tasks is helpful, it is not required as all technical tasks are completed under the supervision of a Program Manager and with the guidance of technical team members. These technical tasks may include:

Conducting desk research

Assisting in the development and programming of survey instruments

Supporting data quality monitoring

Managing and cleaning quantitative datasets

Conducting qualitative coding

Supporting basic quantitative or qualitative analysis and writing
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree
-
Minimum one year of work experience

Exposure to research methods or monitoring and evaluation, either through formal or informal coursework, internships, or previous work experience

Good task and time management skills

Proactive and willing to learn in a collaborative team environment
