The Role of our Superstore Retail Managers

Oxfam Shops are at the heart of our Charity and at the heart of our Communities, raising vital money and awareness to fight poverty. Shop Teams, consisting of paid staff and 23,000 volunteers across our network, donate their diverse skills to make as much money as possible from thousands of donations we receive every day.

Oxfam’s Superstore is a brand-new exciting concept and we are looking for dynamic Retail Managers to help lead a team of 15 paid staff and around 100 volunteers, to run a destination store that offers a bigger experience: enormous and diverse product choice with an Oxfam Online shop area hub, café and event space.

Successful candidates will need a solid retail background of managing large, fast paced operations. You will be highly motivated, decisive, have strong leadership skills and be able to motivate and manage a large and diverse team. You will need to be adaptive, able to organise yourself and other people effectively to be able to respond quickly to a fast-changing environment. You also need to have a creative and enthusiastic approach that enables you to maximise the potential of the Superstore, capitalising on local opportunities and cross working possibilities across Oxfam.
