ABOUT US
The International Fur Federation represents the interest of the entire global supply chain of natural fur in 49 countries. With headquarters in London, it has also a regional office in Brussels. It is looking to recruit an intern that would support a varied range of mostly sustainability-related tasks of the IFF Brussels in the areas such as chemical agenda, environmental footprint, certification, sustainable innovation projects, or communication.
ABOUT THE POSITION
- Support colleagues on a range of tasks necessary, including but not limited to:
- Development and application of Product Environmental Footprint tools in the fur sector;
- Member feedback and other data collection and analysis;
- Analysis of documents on the area of fashion sustainability;
- Organisation and support of meetings;
- Certification programmes daily management;
- Management of large-scale innovation projects;
- Various communication tasks.
- Lead the development of the sector’s chemical agenda, including on policy, data collection and analysis, and business certification, innovation and transformation, under the supervision of the Director of Sustainability and Innovation;
- Perform basic office administration tasks;
- Report to relevant colleagues depending on the type of task.
ABOUT THE CANDIDATE
Education and experience
- Proven knowledge of the EU decision-making process;
- Previous experience with chemicals e.g. through study or internship is an asset;
- Familiarity with LCA is an asset;
- Fluency in English is essential; fluency in other EU languages is an asset;
- Experience in dealing with EU comitology procedures and EU agencies is an asset.
Skills
- Quick learner, ability to grasp complex concepts rapidly;
- Strong research and analysis skills;
- Team-player, proactive and inquisitive mindset;
- Familiar with Microsoft software such as Word, PowerPoint; high proficiency in Excel is an asset.

We aim to start the contract on 1 September (with a degree of flexibility), for a total duration of either 6 or 12 months.
