Trust Consultancy and Development, founded on 15th June 2016, is an independent Third-Party Monitoring (TPM) and capacity development consultancy based in Turkey, providing a range of services to the whole of the MENA region and beyond. Our dedicated team of qualified local and international consultants and researchers, supported by our highly experienced project management team, aspire to provide a range of expert services to international and local NGOs, businesses, donors and third parties with vested interests in different aspects of business, development and humanitarian action.

Our work addresses the growing demand for a range of TPM, needs assessment, external evaluation and capacity building services in development, humanitarian, business and governments. We recognize the challenges of conducting M&E in volatile contexts, and as a TPM provider have assurances in place to provide high quality reliable data while ensuring the integrity and sensitivity of our presence in the field. Main duties and responsibilities:

  1. Manage different types of projects: third party monitoring, evaluation, needs assessment and research

  2. Expanding the office capacity on business development and analytics.

  3. Manage all aspects of projects (supported by technical consultants when needed)

a. Conduct literature reviews

b. Write inception and final monitoring/evaluation reports

c. Designing tools and methods, coordinating with the operations team responsible for

data collection, conducting and present analyses

d. Present proposed methodologies at kick-off meetings and findings at final

verification meetings, respectively

e. Coordinate work flow with operations teams and external consultants

f. Ensure quality control is conducted and review incoming data of operations output

  1. Review deliverables developed by Project Officers, including inception and final reports
    1. As needed, assist Business Development Officer in writing and developing proposal for new TPM opportunities
    2. Other tasks, as assigned by Trust CEO and head of TPM department manager

Required skills:

  1. MA Degree in Development, Public Health, Social Sciences or other relevant subjects required

  2. Three to five years of professional experience in research and project management in a development or humanitarian setting

  3. Fluent/native English speaker

  4. Strong, demonstrable understanding of research and research methods, both qualitative and quantitative

  5. Extensive working knowledge of statistical packages such as Stata, SPSS, or R, with a strong preference for applicants who have experience with working with R

  6. Very strong Office package skills, including Excel skills

  7. Strong writing and editing skills

  8. Familiar with the monitoring and evaluation frameworks, theories, and standards

  9. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

  10. Excellent interpersonal/communication skills and able to work in a multi-cultural work environment

  11. Experience managing intercultural team

  12. Able to work independently under remote supervision

Preferred Skills:

1.Knowledge of Arabic or Turkish preferred

2.Experience living or working in a low- or middle-income country, preferably in the MENA region

3.Previous experience in monitoring and evaluation of development or humanitarian aid, either within an external consultant position or as M&E advisor within an NGO/INGO

4.Experience with big donors such as EU/ ECHO, DFID and USAID

5.Experience in long term project management (more than one year)
