Main purpose of job
To assist the Corporate Services Team at the British Consulate Sao Paulo in providing support to IT , Estates, Security and Transport and HR departments to deliver a good level of service to internal and external clients.
Roles and responsibilities
– Setting up IT equipment such as video/teleconferences and computers on demand and proactively;
– Run the mobile phone audit and keep the record up-to-date.
– Provide general support to customers on hardware and software in general (including desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, mobiles phones and Microsoft software – MS Office 365 suite) as well as ad-hoc IT maintenance based on other technologies;
– Assist users with e-learning system;
– Advise users with FCDO IT security operation procedures;
– Researching for new suppliers, products or technical assistance of existing products.
– Liaising with suppliers and contractors, quoting and organise maintenance works.
– Escorting contractors and suppliers within the official properties;
– Updating Corporate Services related inventory, files and database;
– Organising the transport booking, researching for new suppliers, products or technical assistance of existing products;
– Keep sector charts, texts and presentations updated with accurate information;
– Ad hoc duties as necessary (e.g. photocopies, filing etc).
Have an IT education/degree ongoing. He/she should possess an excellent command of written and spoken English and Portuguese with strong organisational, communication, commitment, pro-activeness, customer service and team working.
Language: English/Portuguese.
Level of language required: Intermediary/Advanced.
Eligibility to work and live in Brazil is required.
Knowledge in any programming language.
