The British Embassy in Vilnius is looking for a Regional Procurement Assistant for the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office’s Europe, Eastern Europe and Central Asia Directorates. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the regional procurement activity for British Embassies and Consulates within this region.
Roles and responsibilities:
Regional Procurement Delivery Support:
- Processing new supplier set-ups and assisting in supplier optimisation projects;
- Assisting in preparation and issuance of tender documents via e-procurement platform;
- Preparation of spend reports and market analysis;
- Providing customer support and guidance to the clients within the network;
- Any other procurement activity as deemed by procurement manager.
- Fluent level of English both oral and written (minimum C1 level, according to CEFR*);
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills: responsibility, ability to meet deadlines, positive attitude;
- Excellent organisational skills for document and record management and high attention to detail;
- Ability to work under pressure and deal with competing priorities;
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures and written processes, working with minimal supervision, prioritising workloads when required;
- Excellent IT skills and competent with Microsoft Office software.
- University Degree or equivalent in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business, Economics, Finance or similar;
- Procurement knowledge;
- Administrative skills.

This is a full-time, permanent contract of 40 gross hours per week ( 35 hours net).
All applicants should have the right to live and work in Lithuania. The British Embassy does not sponsor for work permits. Staff recruited locally by the British Embassy in Vilnius are subject to Terms and Conditions of Service according to local Lithuanian employment law.
