- Technical support to projects:
· Ensure technical support to all WASH projects developed by Help
· Participate in the definition of intervention strategy in WASH sector
· Reinforce technical quality of documentation submitted to donors
· Ensure respect of reporting calendar on date and hours
· Support Finance department to produce financial reports related to WASH projects
· Support the team to produce narrative/ technical reports with good quality
· Evaluate the level of goals attainments and evaluate impacts
· Ensure projects follow – up in coordination with program coordinator
· Supervise WASH projects planning
· Trace all difficulties encountered during projects implementation
· Provide projects team with conceptual reflection documents and ensure a documentary vigilance
· Maintain technical partnership relations with actors active in WASH sector
· Facilitate and maintain relations with external consultants in WASH sector
· Participate in the individual evaluation of WASH projects Managers
· Ensure work is done within an agreed upon scope, schedule, and budget
· Prepare and make presentations to other departments, country program office staff, strategic partners, donors, etc.
· Ensure that gender and protection are considered throughout WASH projects cycles.
- Support to program development
· Organize need assessment as well as other WASH evaluation in community and institutional levels
· Elaborate concepts notes, and proposals to be submitted to donors
· Draft strategies in WASH sectors to be submitted to Country Management Team (CMT)
· Maintain partnership relations with main donors active in WASH sector
· Maintain strategic vigilance for new projects
· Identify needs in WASH sector and provide suggestions to management team
· Participate as WASH expert in the recruitment of new staffs
· Ensure good communication and information sharing inside and outside the program
· Contribute to promotion of learning and experience documentation
· Identify the capacity building needs of local teams and make reasoned proposals to management
· Contribute to partners capacities building to document their field experiences for learning purposes
- Representation
· Maintain technical relations with institutions related to WASH sector
· Participate in coordination meetings, working groups and WASH cluster meetings
· Ensure that Project Managers on the field are participating to WASH Cluster and other WASH working groups meetings
· Conduct all tasks assigned by supervisor
4. Reporting
He/She is responsible for the preparation or review of projects’ reports and all monitoring documents requested by coordination department.
Convince us by:
1- Qualification:
· University degree in water resources, environmental engineering, or another related field
· Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in humanitarian work, preferably in an emergency context
· Demonstrable technical expertise in WASH
· Good knowledge and understanding of Humanitarian Principles and WASH in emergency
· Positive and solutions-oriented person focused on team-building, problem-solving, and support to the teams and beneficiary communities
Technical skill and competence:
· Capacity to deal with many different issues, to self- update and learn very quickly from a highly and constantly evolving environment
· Ability to manage and prioritize a high workload and multiple tasks with tight deadlines
· Good representation skills
· Knowledge of WASH, health and nutrition activities are appreciated
2- Language: Good communication skills, with good written and spoken French .
