Open Briefing defends, strengthens and empowers those on the frontlines of civil society by keeping them and their partners safe and secure, both online and in the real world.

Due to the end of an interim appointment and an increase in demand for our wellbeing support, we are seeking to contract a highly-experienced and capable consultant to lead our wellbeing and resilience workstream and play an active role in our senior management team. Specific responsibilities are split across our four programmes plus administration and operations, and will include:

  • Liaise with organisations that are wellbeing clients or potential clients, including drafting cost proposals and contracts and overseeing the delivery of contracted services.
  • Coordinate and oversee the quality of the counselling, consultancy work and training of others in the wellbeing and resilience team working with clients and funded recipients.
  • Maintain the required skill set and language mix within the wellbeing and resilience team, including recruiting and onboarding new consultants as required.
  • Participate in and represent Open Briefing in relevant civil society networks and associations.
  • Roll out and continuously improve our internal wellbeing and safeguarding frameworks.
  • Provide wellbeing domain expertise to support our information security lead develop the additional security and data protection procedures necessary to support the activities of our wellbeing and resilience workstream.

The initial contract is for 36 days over six months at approximately 6 days a month starting on 1 December 2020, with the potential for renewal and expansion beyond that. The offered rate is £400 per day. All work is remote, and consultants can be based anywhere in a time zone that is Central European Time +/- 2 hours.

Note that additional contracts for internal projects and wellbeing consultancy and training with our clients and recipients will likely be available.
