UNICEF works in some of the world’s toughest places, to reach the world’s most disadvantaged children. To save their lives. To defend their rights. To help them fulfill their potential.
Across 190 countries and territories, we work for every child, everywhere, every day, to build a better world for everyone.
And we never give up.
For every child, The Brand Team is the beating heart and designing hands of how we define and evolve brand standards for UNICEF globally. Our key outputs are brand systems, global brand activations and brand guidance. We work cross-functionally within the Global Division of Advocacy and Communication and with and for our colleagues around the world
Purpose
The Brand Designer (Intermediate) within the Global Communication and Advocacy Division (GCAG) formerly know as Division of Communication (DOC) will help us deliver on our mission by extending the brand expression with a focus on digital applications. The ideal candidate has the ability to execute in a variety of styles, can articulate design decisions and iterate quickly. The designer should have the ability to work independently but is deeply collaborative with other members of the Brand team, including working with and coaching interns, and in taking direction from the Lead Designer.
The Brand Designer (intermediate) should be fluent in the fundamentals of design with a portfolio that showcases this expertise. Ideally, you will also be familiar with and have practical experience in the application of the UNICEF brand in multi-cultural and multi-lingual contexts.
This might be among some of the most impactful and global design work you’ll ever do, manifesting the UNICEF brand for more than 190 countries around the world. Whether it’s designing our logo lock-up in Amharic or creating a treatment for the largest day of action for children, by children, you’ll be part of a global movement for child rights with unprecedented reach and power.
You’ll join a small but enthusiastic team of designers who care deeply about their craft, about doing their best work, and about being supportive and fun while doing it.
