The Faculty of Biology and Medicine (FBM) of the University of Lausanne is inviting applications for a position of:
Tenure track Assistant Professor at the Center for Integrative Genomics
Starting date: March 1, 2022 or to be agreed
Place: Lausanne, Switzerland
The Center for Integrative Genomics (CIG) is a highly interactive, multidisciplinary research center of the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne (UNIL); its research activities are supported by state-of-the-art core facilities.
Main tasks :
• establish an independent, innovative, and internationally competitive research program that will attract extramural funding
• participate in teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels
• participate in departmental and institutional activities
Desired profile :
• PhD degree in Science or MD/PhD
• significant post-doctoral experience, having demonstrated excellence in research and an interest in teaching
• the successful candidate will complement the interests of current CIG faculty, who combine a variety of experimental approaches in diverse model systems, with an emphasis on quantitative, mechanistic analyses of biological processes
An installation credit as well as an annual research and consumable endowment will be provided.
