Overview of Role

Reporting to the Head of Business Development, Continental Europe, Middle East & Africa you will be directly supporting business development and sales activity in the region by helping identify new business opportunities within law firms, regulators, corporates and advisory professionals across CEMEA markets, and by also being occasionally involved in white-space and competition analyses and marketing & communications activities.

You will also help foster retention and growth of the existing book of business and help foster a smooth and effective account management across a wide portfolio of international clients.

This role is hands on and requires a mature and focused individual who has an eye to details, is strong at planning and executing, who likes to think out of the box, work in team in a fast-paced environment but is also comfortable working independently, and who ultimately has a can-do-attitude.

You will receive support from your manager through various trainings, brainstorming sessions and meetings so you can learn and grow as a professional during this work placement. You will also be given a chance to better understand the functioning of a specialised media company by getting exposed and work with both marketing and editorial colleagues.

As Business Development Executive your key role and responsibilities will include

  • Supporting the development & execution of various business development activities
  • Helping identify new business opportunities through active prospecting
  • Developing set of new contacts with decision-makers and influencers
  • Effectively working alongside other colleagues and departments to ensure a smooth account management with clients and that market needs are being met
  • Help positioning the features, advantages, and benefits of all MLex products

Special Knowledge / Skills Required

  • The candidate should still be in his/her studies for the entire duration of the internship
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s (preferred) Degree in Management, Political science, Economics, Law (3rd year or above)
  • Ideally good knowledge of two continental European languages besides fluency in English
  • Proven track record of working successfully in a challenging and commercially driven sales environment, preferably within the Information or Research space
  • High level communication, organisation, and execution skills as well as proficiency with MS office suite and social media are a must

We will offer a compensation commensurate to your experience and the year of study you are in.

An internship agreement will need to be provided and signed by your home university.
