PSI’s External Relations & Communications department positions PSI as a thought-leader and development NGO of the future. We nurture strategic relationships with donors and partners, support internal and in-country teams with external relations and raise unrestricted funds for PSI. We work hard and laugh a lot together.

We are looking for a Digital Campaigns Manager to help us plan and execute PSI’s corporate and digital strategy to amplify the organization’s reach, expand PSI’s audience, deepen the engagement with donors and decision-makers, and raise unrestricted funding.

The Digital Campaigns Manager will also be responsible for consulting with external technical and regional teams at PSI Headquarter offices to execute digital tasks assigned. Sound like you? Read on.

Your contribution

The Digital Campaigns Manager position will support ERC with all of its digital marketing needs. That includes but is not limited to, the following:

Hourly Breakdown per week (up to 40 hours)

  • Digital Strategy (7 hours )
  • Social media (10 hours )
  • Email Marketing (7 hours )
  • Web Maintenance and Optimization (5 hours appro)
  • Video Editing and Graphic Design (5 hours )
  • Analytics (4 hours appro)
  • Manage 1 part time social media associate manager and 1 website consultant (2 hours appro)Tasks

The Digital Campaign Manager will support ERC with all of its digital marketing needs. That includes but is not limited to, the following weekly tasks:

Digital Strategy (7 hours approx.)

  • Create an overall digital campaigns strategy in concert with the Senior Manager for Strategic Communications to improve PSI’s visibility to donors and partners and maximize influence in the Global Health space
  • Research and update team knowledge on best practices across content types, social algorithms, email design, web presentation and SEO
  • Meet with internal clients – departments and country office teams – to understand their digital marketing needs and priorities, then help shape their asks with the annual strategy in mind
  • Craft a template report for digital campaigns that is filled out and returned to the internal client upon completion of their campaign
  • Research upgrades and additions to our marketing technology stack; suggest additions where opportunities will improve our ability to reach and grow our audience (e.g. best options for social listening)
    Social Media (10 hours approx.)

  • Create a social media strategy that focuses on engagement and audience growth

  • Establish benchmarks for individual channel performance, then experiment with tactics to improve, and track progress through weekly analytics reports

  • Write, edit and approve social content, and assign social content writing projects to the ERC assistant/coordinator

  • Research #s and influencers in or adjacent to the Global Health space; engage where appropriate
  • Determine the optimal campaign mix for impact (timing, content, channels)
  • Maintain a social media calendar that focuses on Global Health celebrations and events
  • Monitor social media accounts
  • Manager live Twitter chats
  • Create paid ad campaigns on social media to increase to reach of PSI content and acquire leads
  • Adapt to changing social media trends, best practices and tools
  • Familiarity with Sprout preferredEmail Marketing (7 hours approx.)

  • Create an email strategy that focuses on list growth

  • Establish benchmarks for each of our email lists, and their general open and click through rates given our current email products, then experiment (e.g. a/b test) for better engagement

  • Craft eNewsletters, executive emails, and event announcements

  • Grow subscriptions lists to our eNewsletters
  • Knowledge of Pardot preferred
    Web Maintenance and Optimization (5 hours approx.)

  • Knowledge of WordPress, HTML & CSS and awareness of other content management systems

  • Act at Content Manager for all pages, but especially our blog

  • Upload content to the blog and optimize using alt tags, keywords, headlines, etc.

  • Process web page update requests from other departments
  • Craft and support microsites as needed
  • Liaise with outside website support vendors for upgrades, hosting, and registration issues
  • Pull Google Analytics reports once a monthVideo Editing and Graphic Design (5 hours approx.)

  • Ability to advise on and edit video content into social media clips

  • Ability to work with Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign, as well as Canva to edit and/or create PSI branded social media graphics to increase engagement

  • Create imagery for social media campaigns, blog posts and web pages
    Analytics (4 hours approx.)

  • Provide ERC with campaign-based, monthly and quarterly reports on: Blog traffic, Twitter, Facebook and LinkedI
    Manage 1 part-time social media associate manager and 1 website consultant (2 hours approx.)

  • Manage social media assignments for a part time social media associate manager will support this role

  • Liaise with a website vendor on SEO, webhosting, CMS updates, plugins, Google Analytics, microsites, and general website functionality

The basics:

  • A bachelor’s degree
  • At least 7 years of experience
  • A self-starter who is nice, fun, loves helping clients achieve their goals and feels fulfilled working collaboratively with a team for shared succ
  • Experience developing digital strategies that could advance PSI’s Strategic Plan and PSI’s
  • standing in communities of practice, and amplify learnings from project implementation.
  • Experience with WordPress (awareness of other content management systems, HTML and CSS helpful) and with establishing microsites and maintaining
  • Excellent grasp of evolving social media landscape (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram) and best practice digital tools and strategies to successfully engage and automate engagement of audiences
  • Experience with email campaign tools such as Pardot or Hubspot
  • Experience strategizing, planning and executing integrated communications campaigns on email, web and social media
  • Experience with Google analytics, SEO, and online advertising platform
  • Ability to learn quickly and efficiently, with the self-starter skills required to learn new programs as needed
  • Effective project and time management skills and an aptitude to always follow through
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, hectic environment
  • An openness to evolving responsibilities
  • An understanding of how to nurture relationships online with donors, partners and other stakeholders
  • Ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders with professionalism and collegiality
  • Strong personal initiative, team player
  • Must be authorized to work in the Unites States.
