Vocal Europe searches for an EU Project Officer helping the team to coordinate the existing EU-funded projects (as coordinator), as well as do applications for new projects.

Contract:                  Freelance part-time contract with limited duration (6 months but can be extended)

Starting date:           As soon as possible

Her/His Main Responsibilities:

Supporting and implementing EU-funded projects activities:

  • Monitoring the overall progress and deliverables of the ongoing EU projects, preparing and writing the technical reports for the EU projects
  • Exploring potential EU grants,
  • Writing and submitting new project proposals for potential EU grants
  • Supporting the day-to-day operations of the secretariat (such as members’ meetings, workshops, conferences)
  • Expanding Vocal Europe’s partnership for potential consortiums
  • Expanding Vocal Europe’s email database

His/Her Qualification:

Mandatory

  • Sufficient Knowledge of EU funding programmes and opportunities
  • At least two years of professional experience in management/coordination of EU-funded projects
  • Knowledge and experience in writing and submitting proposals for EU projects
  • Experience in coordinating and managing external stakeholders
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)

Desirable

  • Deep understanding and experience of funding opportunities for NGOs
  • Experience as coordinator of EU-funded projects
  • Experience of writing technical reports
  • Additional language (Dutch)

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills and relationship management skills (can quickly establish good relationships with contacts)
  • Strong analytical, organisational, and record-keeping skills
  • Ability to prioritise and multitask, autonomous and independent in completing tasks, with good organisational and time-management skills
  • Friendly, helpful, confident, and engaging personality
