Experienced Consultant for EU and Danish Projects (m/f/d)

The international team at Oxford Research in Denmark is seeking a research consultant with prior experience in EU research projects.

As our new research consultant, you will conduct evaluations, cost benefit analysis, impact assessments, market and strategic analyses – primarily for the EU Commission in the areas of business growth, RTD, occupational health & safety and social policies.

You will be tasked to implement research activities on EU studies that provide reviews of legislation and public policies implemented across the Member States.

Working from our office in Copenhagen, Denmark, you will join our international team and cooperate with colleagues from Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Poland and Brussels. You will mainly work on EU projects – occasionally, Danish research assignments will land on your desk as well.

Who are you?

We are looking for a candidate with the following profile:

  • In-depth knowledge of qualitative research methods and ideally quantitative research methods, including statistical packages such as R or SPSS;
  • Experienced in developing methodological approaches for tenders;
  • Ability to conduct analytical tasks independently;
  • Strong writing and verbal communication skills and ability to master the use different report, presentation and proposal formats;
  • Preferably experience in designing and conducting country case studies and cross country analyses;
  • 2-6 years of work experience as a consultant on EU research projects or on similar type of projects;
  • Knowledge of the EU’s better regulation framework;
  • Proficiency in English and preferably also other major EU languages such as French, German Spanish, Italian, Polish;
  • Master degree in economics, public policy, political science, business administration, social policy, social research or similar.

By nature, you are analytical, problem oriented and creative in applying methods and analytical frameworks to policy and connecting to a broader context. Working independently is a force of yours, while you also enjoy engaging in team work – often with tight deadlines. Last, but not least, you are driven by making a difference for clients and helping them solve the challenges they face.
