Assists Accounting Director in managing daily Financial Services operations. Responsible for supervising departments within FSD. Responsible for ensuring financial transactions are recorded according to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and internal allocation of revenues and assets. The person in the position must be familiar with a variety of accounting concepts, practices, and procedures and be able to explain them to others.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
● Assists with managing and directing the daily accounting functions of the Association.
● Oversees the accounting close process, allocation of revenues, expenditures, assets, and liabilities.
● Manages the financial departments, processes, and reporting for the Association.
● Leads and participates in Association wide projects, including directing staff and utilizing resources to accomplish the objective of project. Provides training in the areas of investments and other financial areas.
●Provides financial analysis and reporting.
● Assists with or develops any needed financial reports and analysis for the ABA leadership and Association entities.
● Assists with preparation for the annual audit.
Required Education, Qualifications, Experience
● CPA or MBA required.
● Minimum of 6 years of experience of which 3 should be in a managerial capacity.
● Strong analytical, written, and interpersonal skills.
● Solid working knowledge of US GAAP.
Preferred Education, Qualifications, Experience
● Knowledge of GAAP, budgetary processes and annual planning techniques preferred.ms other related duties as required.
