Summary of position:
The successful candidate will be responsible for: cleaning the Official Residence; providing operational and logistical support, supervising contractors, assisting with official events (ex. receptions, meals), and other duties in support of the administration of the Official Residence.

 

Essential qualifications:
Candidates will initially be screened against the Essential Qualifications relating to experience and language. Candidates must clearly demonstrate in their cover letter and CV how they meet each of these essential qualifications.

Language: Spoken and written English

Experience: 2 years of recent* relevant experience as a full-time cleaner.
* Recent is defined as within the last 5 years.

Rated Requirements
The Rated Requirements are part of the essential requirements and are relating to knowledge, abilities and competencies. Methods of assessment for rated requirements may include, but are not limited to, a written examination, an oral interview, role-play, practical tests, presentations and/or psychometric assessment.

• Health and safety principles for housekeeping in a residential space
• Formal etiquette and protocol for hospitality (hosting), including for greeting and service
• Able to provide support in kitchen

Asset Qualifications:
Preference maybe given to candidates who also meet the Asset Qualifications. Where applicable, candidates must clearly demonstrate how they meet any asset qualifications in their cover letter and CV.
• Spoken and written Hebrew
• Spoken French
• Experience as a cleaner or maid in a diplomatic residence or home
• Computer skills

Operational Requirements:
• Hours of Work: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday: 8:00 to 16:30
• Availability to work overtime – evenings, weekends if necessary – sometimes on short notice
• Ability to lift up to 20kg

 

Condition(s) of Employment:
• Able to obtain a reliability clearance (security clearance)
• Must have (pre-existing) and retain legal status to live and work in Israel
