Overview

Are you a strategic thinker with existing partnerships with large churches that has national influence?  We are seeking a Ministry Strategist, Church Partnerships with excellent ability to develop relationships to join the Promotions and Partnerships team with Operation Christmas Child.  This position is responsible for growing our network of large church partnerships in the Northeast super region. (Geographic area of Washington DC/Baltimore – New York – Kentucky – Ohio – Indiana – Pennsylvania.) This position strategically focuses on large megachurches (3,000+) as well as church-related organizations that include all sizes of churches to partner with Operation Christmas Child (OCC) within the region.  Do not miss this opportunity to be a part of a global organization that is reaching children and families for Christ!  This position requires someone who has worked for a megachurch in a leadership role or has a strategic partnership with a non-profit with ties to large churches. 

Operation Christmas Child is a dynamic, fast-paced ministry of Samaritan’s Purse that transforms lives around the world through the power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. *This position works remotely and requires frequent travel within the region, including partnership events, 50-70 days annually

A day in the life of a Ministry Strategist:

At Samaritan’s Purse, the Gospel really is the center of all we do!  We start each day with a time of devotions and spend time praying for each other, our staff and volunteers who serve around the globe. 

In the role of Ministry Strategist, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Maintain your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Him
  • Work closely with the National Church Relations Manager in setting and achieving megachurch partnership goals to contribute towards OCC’s national and international growth goals
  • Increase donations of shoebox gifts by managing and growing existing partnerships, including megachurches and church-based organizations, as well as securing and developing new partnerships annually
  • Enhance current and create and implement new promotional and relationship building plans and strategies while complimenting current volunteer-driven goals, working closely with the National Church Relations Manager
  • Develop a list of priority inactive (non-participating) churches, and call on these churches seeking a commitment to generating shoebox gifts
  • Represent and promote OCC at select national church and/or pastoral conferences and events
  • Partner with regional leaders to engage strategic churches and church leaders to pursue partnership and participation
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Passionate about the Great Commission and a strong vision castor and communicator
  • Prior leadership experience (at least 5-7 years) on a megachurch staff or on a non-profit with megachurch connections
  • Proven partnership development ability with an established network of megachurches
  • Able to multi-task; efficiently managing current partnerships while intentionally developing new ones
  • Efficient and self-driven to work remotely, while collaborating in a spirit of unity within the team

Education:

Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university; and/or 5-7 years’ relevant experience; or equivalent combination of both. Twelve hours of biblical studies from an accredited institution strongly preferred.
