The CBM Christoffel Blind Mission is an international Christian development organisation that supports persons with disabilities in poor regions through development cooperation and humanitarian aid. Our goal is an inclusive society which leaves no one behind and results in an improved quality of life for persons with disabilities.

Starting immediately or as agreed, CBM Switzerland is looking for a

Project Manager Advocacy (80-100%)

Your responsibilities

Reporting to the Head of Advocacy, you will independently assume responsibility for the design and implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, the thematic areas of disability data and humanitarian aid (including Disaster Risk Reduction) as well as new thematic areas as appropriate:

· Prepare position papers, statements and shadow reports.

· Organise side events, briefings and public events.

· Manage public relations (online and offline).

· Lobby relevant actors.

· Cooperate with national and international partners and networks, especially organisations of persons with disabilities.

· Represent CBM Switzerland at meetings, conferences, in coalitions and working groups.

You bring

· Knowledge of and experience in disability-inclusive development for persons with disabilities and/or lived experience of disability.

· Degree in political science, international relations or related field.

· Experience in advocacy and international cooperation.

· Sound knowledge of human rights, especially the Convention on the Rights of Person with Disabilities (CRPD).

· Persuasive interaction with internal and external actors, and the ability to represent the interests of CBM Switzerland and persons with disabilities in international cooperation.

· Experience in public relations, especially social media.

· Very good knowledge of German and English, knowledge of a national sign language as well as International Sign.

· Ability to take initiative, work independently, be target-oriented and produce high-quality results.

· Willingness to undertake regular travel for work in Switzerland and abroad.
