Senior Manager – EMEA University Partnership Services

Job Overview:
As Senior Manager of the University Partner Services EMEA team,  you will oversee a team of Program Success Managers and Technical Account Managers that have expertise in online education and customer success  management.  This team is responsible for serving as the primary partner point of contact for content and program development. Your leadership and strategic thinking will be important to building a strong and scalable content engine ensuring high quality. You will work cross functionally with business development, content strategy, marketing, product and other service delivery teams within Coursera. Externally you will work with elite University Partners who are changing the world with high-quality and accessible online education. You will report to the Director of University Partner Services.

Basic Qualifications:

    • Experienced team leader with 4+ years of experience recruiting and developing talent for customer facing teams
    • Background in higher education, client services, management consulting or customer success. 
    • Prior experience working with senior leaders and demonstrated history influencing high-level stakeholders
    • Ability to work cross functionally and influence leaders to achieve business objectives

Your diverse responsibilities will include the following:

    • Manage, recruit and develop a high-achieving  team of Program Managers, and Technical Account managers  to develop and deliver on KPIs associated with content launches, and ongoing EMEA portfolio  success
    • Engage with Coursera’s partners at a strategic level to ensure that our services are meeting their business needs.
    • Consistently optimize strategies and processes to increase content velocity, reduce cost and drive greater predictability. Build appropriate business cases and drive cross functional alignment.
    • Demonstrate strategic thinking and team leadership by owning business line OKRs, delivering on them successfully and representing Coursera University Partner Services team at the company level.

The ideal Candidate will have:

    • A passion for our mission, and achieving ambitious goals to bring high-quality educational experience to learners around the world
    • Cross-functional team leading skills, demonstrated passion for building products or programs that meet the needs of students and universities 
    • An MBA or equivalent from a top-tier institution 
    • Familiarity with online education best practices
    • Executive presence and comfort moving between stakeholders and operational execution rapidly to enable different audiences with excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Exceptional analytical, strategic, and problem-solving skills
    • A level-headed temperament; ability to make quick judgments and defend decisions
