REPORTS TO: Chief Financial Officer

Nonprofit experience preferred

EXPERIENCE:  Bachelor’s Degree, 7-10 years relevant experience

The Senior Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis is a new role on the finance team to support our growing organization.  The Senior Manager provides timely, collaborative, service-oriented support to Program team members on all financial matters relevant to program implementation including expense reconciliations, budget to actual variances, rolling budgets, and projections while remaining compliant with funder requirements, funder budgets and CATF policies.  The ideal candidate must have the initiative to move tasks forward independently, keeping track of external or self-imposed deadlines, clearly communicating needs or assignments to others, circling back with reminders, and engaging in closed-loop communications when a task is completed.

The core responsibilities of this role are as follows:  Supports program staff with management and analysis of financials relevant to all grants within a portfolio, including proactive oversight and analysis of budgets, expenditures accruals, cost projections, and allocations, to ensure fulfillment of each grant’s objectives and compliance with funder regulations, CATF policies.  Supports proposal budget preparation, working with program and business development teams.  Participates in program kick-off, on-going program implementation review, and close-out.  Works with the CFO and Controller in the preparation of all financial reports required by funders and/or CATF management.  Identify financial risks, conduct scenario analysis and recommend actions for mitigation.  Effectively communicates and establishes, maintains, and develops productive working relationships with Program Directors, Program team members, Development team and Foundation team.  Assists with annual program projections program audit preparation.  Performs other accounting tasks as assigned or deemed necessary.
