Our Disaster Management team acts to save lives and alleviate suffering of crises-affected people by implementing sustainable programmes focused on meeting immediate and long-term needs.
Here’s where you come in:
As Syria Operations Manager, Syria Response, you are responsible for overseeing the implementation of World Vision’s operations across Syria programs – providing direction, oversight and coordination to ensure that all programs are implemented to achieve desired results while adhering to humanitarian standards, processes and budgets, and that risk mitigation and compliance measures are in place and implemented.
Requirements:
- Higher degree in International Development or other relevant area.
- Fluent in English (written and oral).
- 10+ years proven experience with International NGOs, donor or UN agencies in emergency relief/ development programming and operations.
- Experience designing and implementing cross-border programs in Central Syria, through partners, highly preferred.
- Position requires willingness and ability to continue to function in unpredictable and potentially hostile environments.
- Must be eligible to obtain a Jordanian Work permit, and must be eligible to travel to other countries when required.
