Job Summary:

This position supports the digital marketing and communications efforts for Corus International and its subsidiary organizations, including Lutheran World Relief, IMA World Heath, Charlie Goldsmith Associates, Ground Up Investing, Farmers Market Coffee, and others to be added in the future. The Digital Marketing and Communications Associate implements email, social media and website strategies in support of fundraising and business development revenue goals.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  1. Support the implementation of Corus International’s email marketing strategies. Assist with the creation of email
    campaigns, including building emails using an email editor, uploading/tagging contacts, and building segments.
    Create graphics for social media and email campaigns, in coordination with the Multimedia Design Manager.
  2. Support the implementation of Corus International’s social media strategies. Schedule social media posts and
    monitor comments. Respond to questions and manage inboxes of social accounts. Assist in the day-to-day
    management of the LWR Quilters & Kit Makers Facebook Group (recording and approving join requests,
    monitoring activity, answering questions, engaging with members).
  3. Perform day-to-day website updates across Corus International’s portfolio of externally facing websites and
    subdomains. This includes using templates to create webpages (such as blogposts), posting resources, making
    content updates. Conduct regular testing of fundraising platforms to ensure optimal results and donor journey.
  4. Create and regularly update various reports about digital communications and fundraising performance. Maintain
    lists of tracked links, UTM campaign names, etc. to ensure consistent use across campaign channels.
  5. Manage user accounts in various software platforms (e.g. adding new users in email marketing software and social
    media scheduling platforms) and upload and organize assets in media archive.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Experience using open-source content management systems (WordPress and Drupal) and email marketing systems.
  • Strong copywriting skills.
  • Working knowledge of online advertising tools (e.g. Google AdWords, Facebook Ads).
  • Understanding of A/B testing, analytics tools, including experience in Google Analytics and Facebook Insights.
  • Understanding of SEO and SEM.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ability to use spreadsheet functions to analyze trends and engagement results.
  • Experience using HTML and CSS
  • Experience embedding video and animated/interactive content built in/posted on non-CMS software such as Adobe Edge Animate or Vimeo/YouTube.
  • Ability to create and edit basic images in the Adobe Creative Suite (e.g. Photoshop or Illustrator).
  • Experience using the full functionality of social media channels, especially Facebook and Twitter.
    Strong familiarity with tools and methods to craft compelling “clickable” posts, i.e., GIF animator, Photoshop, video editors, live streaming, chats, etc.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet planned and unplanned organizational needs.
  • Excellent project management and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to get work done through and with others.
  • Strong attention to detail.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree plus 2-3 years of related experience, or equivalent combination

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
