The British Embassy in Paris is part of a world-wide network, representing British political, economic and consular interests overseas. It is also part of the UK’s France Network (including offices in Lyon, Bordeaux and Marseille and representation to international organisations in Paris (OECD and UNESCO) and Strasbourg (CoE).
The British Embassy is currently looking for an Estates Network Officer.
Roles and responsibilities:
Act as point of contact and give estates support to network offices in Lyon, Marseille, Calais and Bordeaux and UK Delegation to the Council of Europe in Strasbourg.
Liaise with the Facilities Management company and Estates Operations regarding works updates.
Liaise with building management for regional offices as required
Quarterly visits to all offices/Delegation – written report back to CS sections in Paris. Check and maintain fire and Health and Safety regulations are in place and being met.
Following up on Post Compliance Assessment – completing recommended actions
Assist with Residential and Office Property Searches outside Paris as and when needed.
Other tasks as and when required including but not limited to:
assisting the Estates Manager on the Embassy modernisation project.
keeping property records up to date.
Strong team working skills;
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office;
Good organisational and time management skills;
Well-developed customer service orientation, with a commitment to continuous service improvement and leading by example;
Fluent oral and written English;
Good oral French and ability to understand leases, local authority guidance etc;
Discretion and excellent communication skills;
Flexibility and multi-tasking.
