Main purpose of job:

To be a member of the Press and Public Affairs Team collaborating in external and internal activities, according to the British Embassy in Bogotá objectives.

To collaborate in the embassy communications section reporting and under the supervision of the Deputy Communications Officer and with responsibilities and accountability in the areas of press and digital.

Roles and responsibilities / what will the jobholder be expected to achieve?

  • Design and production of multiplatform materials, such as infographics, videos, gifs, internal communications material, etc.
  • Creation of multimedia material (videos, infographics, e-cards, etc.) required by anyone in the office.
  • Production of internal newsletter.
  • Be an active part of the Embassy´s digital and comms Embassy´s campaigns.
  • Journalistic coverage (photography, video-recording and interviewing) during external events. 
  • Complete administrative tasks as required.

Language requirements:

Language: Spanish and English.

Level of language required: Spanish (native), English (B2 certified by IELTS or TOEFL). 

Other skills / experience / qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in the last semesters of university degree in graphic design, communications or a related subject (journalism, advertising, digital marketing, etc.)
  • Intermediate-advanced use of Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Canva and Premiere, among others.
  • Strong audio-visual composition skills (photography and video edition).
  • High attention to detail.
  • Good knowledge of photography and video-editing software.
  • Responsible, committed to the job.
  • Sociable, able to interact and collaborate with different teams.
  • Works well against deadlines.
  • Interested in the UK.

Fridays 8:30 to 13:30

Full time position. Evening and weekends work may be required to support events.
