Engagement Trainee

Online engagement is more important than ever in the changing world that has resulted from a global pandemic . But this changing world is also an opportunity to engage audiences that have previously been offline and hard to reach. As such, the ALDE Party is now looking for sn Engagement trainee to assist in all aspects of the ALDE Party Engagement Unit activities from working on the newly launched Alliance of Her to engagement of new and existing individual members. The trainee will be employed in the frame of the Convention d’Immersion Professionelle. He/she will work closely with all units of the Secretariat to achieve their goals. 

The main responsibilities of the position are:

Engagement with ALDE Party audience through Act! email campaigns

• Assist in and support the planning, creating and scheduling of e-mail campaigns
• Prepare recurring email campaigns and work to expand the offering of these recurring emails to individual members and liberal associates, to ensure they get even more value from their membership or subscription
• Support growth of donor database & individual donor correspondence
• Assist with CRM software management (NationBuilder)
• Assist with execution of joint campaigns with member parties who use NationBuilder

Individual Membership Management

• Assist in creation of new membership campaigns and membership renewal campaigns
• Assist in communication with all ALDE Party individual members via social media, phone and email
• Support in management of e-mail inboxes related to individual engagement

Alliance Of Her engagement and social media monitoring

• Monitor social media for events, news and trends relevant to women’s rights and proactively brief AOH project manager on these
• Assist AOH project manager in creating and scheduling content for all AOH social media accounts

Requirements:

We are looking for a candidate who:

• Is a data-driven storyteller, capable of drafting messages from a variety of political stakeholders
• Is pro-active and responsive with ability to quickly understand tasks and situations
• Has fluency in spoken and written English
• Has an understanding of the European political landscape
• Is efficient, with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a highly organised, practical approach
• Advanced Excel skills is considered an asset
• Experience of CRM software, be it NationBuilder or another provider is an asset
• University degree in a relevant field an advantage
• Holding a EU passport of coming from a country that is part of the Schengen Area.

The ALDE Party is a registered European political Party and its Staff is working in the frame of employee contracts submitted to Belgian Law.
