LOCATION: Home-based consultancy with no travel. The consultant will be required to participate in online meetings with the hiring unit and other stakeholders as and when required.

 

DURATION OF CONSULTANCY: Four months from start date of the contract. Full-time consultancy i.e. 21.75 days per month excluding Saturdays and Sundays.

HOW TO APPLY: Your online application should contain the  five separate attachments and should be uploaded under the relevant sections as designated on the online application form:

  1. Cover letter: it needs to highlight the most relevant experience and share at least one detailed example of previous experience in developing educational material for targeted audiences, preferably for youth age brackets. In the cover letter also explain whether you have expertise in climate change and resilience programming with proven engagement in the topic for a minimum of 3 years. Also, whether you have expertise in developing educational or training material for a minimum of 3 years.
  2. CV reflecting relevant experience and including three professional references
  3. Written Sample of previous work: this can be any form of educational material that you have been a significant contributor of; please include hyperlinks if it is also available on an online platform
  4. Technical Proposal: Please provide a maximum of 1500 word (approximately 3-4 pages) technical proposal on how you would address the deliverables under this terms of reference document. In table form, include your time line, what resources/capacities you will contribute, and what potential technical support you would require from UNICEF.
  5. Financial proposal in the attached template

All of the documents listed above are mandatory and in case any of the documents is missing then your application will be considered incomplete/invalid.

The consultant will be selected as per the criteria outlined below:

• Professional experience and familiarity with development sector, based on cover letter and CV (15/20)
• Relevance and feasibility of technical proposal (15/20)
• Relevance and quality of work sample provided (15/20)
 
Candidates who meet the minimum cut-off in each of the 3 sub-criteria as well as also score an overall of  45/60 in the 3 sub-criteria will be shortlisted for an interview
 
• Interview (15/20)
 
TOTAL MARKS FOR APPLICATION AND INTERVIEW  60/80 – Candidates who meet the minimum cut-off scores in all sub-criteria as well as also score an overall 60 marks and above out of 80 will be considered technically qualified and their financials opened.
 
 

FINANCIAL PROPOSAL – PRICE

20 point are allocated to the lowest priced proposal, based on day-rate. The financial scores of the other proposals will be in inverse proportion to the lowest price.                                                                            

TOTAL MARKS 100                                                                                                        

 Any attempt to unduly influence UNICEF’s selection process will lead to automatic disqualification of the applicant.

  • Joint applications of two or more individuals are not accepted.
  • Please note, UNICEF does not charge any fee during any stage of the process.
